As a professional, quality, convenience and savings are a priority, and now you can get them all by using Behr’s Direct-to-Pro Program at The Home Depot. Launched April 1, the program provides professionals with a more-convenient supply solution specifically tailored to their needs and quantity discounts to give them an opportunity to increase their profits.


The new program makes available a nearly endless supply of inventory that includes Behr’s entire collection of paint, Kilz primers, and factory tinting combined with volume discounts and the convenience of job-site delivery in most locations. Or, if you prefer, pick your order up at The Home Depot.


Loyalty rewarded


The Direct-to-Pro Program rewards loyalty and continued patronage with better pricing.


“The professional can qualify for a 10%, 15% or 20% discount off the already low everyday price based on their volume purchases over the course of the year,” says Joe Richardson, senior vice president, Professional Products & Services, Behr. “For example, if a professional user anticipates purchasing 500 gallons a year, they would qualify for a 20% discount on all of their paint purchases from Behr.”


“Volume pricing allows me to offer a better price and a better product to my customers, and that gives me an advantage over the competition,” says Ruben Lopez, owner, American Building Services.


Faster delivery, factory tinting


With a minimum order of 50 gallons, the program guarantees delivery to the job site in 72 hours or less, free of charge, by a trained field service technician who can answer any product or application questions.


“This program attempts to expedite the delivery and fulfillment of all our customers’ needs,” says Richardson.


“I'm always impressed by how fast they get my order processed,” says Lopez. “Plus, with direct delivery, we waste no time picking it up and no delays. The field service technician was very knowledgeable and even helped us unload. We didn’t lose any time at all.”


Factory tinting is another major benefit of the program. “We keep a record of orders of 50 gallons or more, including the specific color matches,” says Mario Garita, regional operations manager, Behr. “If the customer comes in months later to follow up on a previous job, we can reproduce the color precisely. Even if they only need a gallon, they can get the same color.”
